The Savior of Cokesbury College

Become a Friend of Cokesbury

In the early 1960’s, the Cokesbury College building had become dilapidated. The historic structure was rescued from demolition by the amazing dedication of local citizen Ms. Nell Graydon, who believed that Cokesbury’s story was far too important not to be preserved for future generations. She almost single-handedly raised $10,000 from the sale of her cookbook, From My House to Yours, to preserve the Cokesbury College building.

You can purchase one of Nell Graydon's cook books for a $20 donation and support Cokesbury College.

Service to Cokesbury

In October 2015, eleven Brownie Scouts from Troop 1185 helped ready the Cokesbury College flower beds for fall planting. These 3rd and 4th graders pulled summer plants and bagged up the spent plants.
